Let’s shine some light on the European skate scene! In particular, let’s look to Heidelberg, Germany. With the Skate Express skate shop open and active since 1989, there’s a steady foundation for up and coming individuals. Check out Frank Rojel. Age 15 and shredding the streets! Phillip Huang, and Florian Sigloch. Max Shrädder, on fire in the bowls. On June 21st, 2015, the skate community hosted a Rock’n’Roll Skate Contest for Go Skateboarding Day 2015. Skate Express Heidelberg collaborated with House of Youth (Haus der Jugend), Plöckstreet Boys Production, Salut Skateboarding, Henrique Vitoria Skateboarding, Grotesque Skate and snowboarding, Welldone Studios, and the Flame along the Neckar River at the Ernst Walz bridge skatepark. Thanks to Poseiden Foundation sponsors: Altamont, Deluxe Distribution- Real Skateboards, Thunder Trucks, Anti-Hero, Krooked, Venture, and Spitfire Wheels, Emerica, Etnies, Landyachtz, Sunset, Element, Skate Girls, and Vans, Poseiden Foundation was able to contribute additional product to the event. With close to 200 spectators and 40 participants rocking the contest, we were glad to be there sharing the love and support! Pictures here are from photographer Philographie. Danke!
