Who We Are
Skate and surf clinics, contests and tours are also organized by Poseiden to reach youth within their own communities. Though we are more extreme sports oriented we are now outreaching to other activites within the North County area such as: partenering up with envirnmental clubs to teach the youth about becoming aware of thier surrounding and how they too effect our eco-systems with everything they do.


Board of Directors

Micaela Ramirez, Founder/President of the Poseiden Foundation, Inc.

Micaela Ramirez is a passionate believer in youth. She achieved a B.A. in Elementary Education and Spanish Education in 2005, and has attained her teaching credentials in Mild, Moderate and Severe Disabilities. She is currently receiving a Masters in Special Education, and her thesis was written on, The Effectiveness of Differentiated Instruction to Increase Phonics Skills for Students with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Ramirez created a non-profit called Poseiden Foundation in 2005 and received 501(c)3 status in 2007. Poseiden Foundations, and it’s mission is to change the mindset of society by empowering females and all youth to care for their environment, pursue their passion and actualize their dreams by using sports programs such as skateboarding, as a platform to breakdown social, economic and self-confidence barriers. She has traveled throughout California, Hawaii, Mexico, Ecuador, Chile, Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Peru and other countries across the globe spreading Poseiden Foundation’s philosophy. Through community and athlete support, she has been able to share the love with youth and teach them through perseverance goals and dreams can be attained.

Ramirez donates her time by sponsoring skate clinics and gathering local professional athletes to demonstrate confidence and character-building, strengthening the values of skateboarding. Ramirez has also teamed up with the Mountain Vista from Fort Huachucha, Military Base in Arizona to donate basic household necessities such as: sinks, refrigerators, blankets, pillows to needy families in Sonora, Mexico.

Jen O’Brien, Athlete Relations

O’ Brien has been a Professional Skateboarder for over 15 years and is the Founder/Owner of Tru2Eve Skateboard Shoe Company. She is also the founding member of both ASEC and the Alliance. O’Brien has been on the Board of Directors for USA Skateboarding, and is volunteering her time to the Poseiden Foundation, Inc.

Angela Rabreau, Board of Directors, Secretary

Rabreau operates a small owned and women owned business in Carlsbad, California. Rabreau has donated much of her time in giving back to her local community in both gang prevention and the arts. She has been a supporter of the La Jolla Playhouse, and has created new opportunities for local artists to get their name out into the Local North County, San Diego Community. Rabreau is volunteering her time to the Poseiden Foundation, Inc.

Lorna Chevo, Financial Director

Chevo runs her own business, Lorena Chehov Bookkeeping services, she has worked with a diverse range of non-profits including Make-A-Wish Foundation and is continuously looking at ways she can help give back to her local community.

Isabelle Fried, Youth Outreach Director
Fried is a Professional Downhiller for over 10 years. She previously worked at an Info Technology firm, as an Engineer for over 5 years. She currently is working as a Mathematician at El Camino High School (ECHS) in Oceanside, San Diego. She is the Director of the ECHS Skate Club and sits on the board for ECHS Surf Club. She teaches female empowerment through various types of skate clinics. She also devotes her time in Co-anchoring Female Empowerment Conferences for her district.
